Overview:

Pendragon Forms and the Pendragon Forms Distribution Toolbox were used to create mobile city assessment applications.  The handheld applications replaced paper forms, eliminated costly and time consuming data transcription tasks and improved the quality of survey data.

Equipped with handhelds and the new forms, four crews were deployed to conduct infrastructure assessment, surveying more than 10,000 street segments.  As data was entered into the form, scripts automatically calculated rating values. To protect the data, crews back-up information to an SD card on an hourly basis, and synchronized weekly at the main office. 

Development Time:

The application was developed and tested in two weeks and crew training was completed in less than one day.

The benefits of the new system include saved time, improved accuracy, improved data consistency, and easier training. 

The handheld applications have provided a sufficient return on investment for the company; according to Angelo Paredes, "...the ROI was more than enough for the company to be eager to use Pendragon Forms in other projects."
